Front Differential: Removal

- Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Automatic Transmission Assembly.>
- Extract the torque converter clutch assembly.

- Remove the input shaft.
- Disconnect the air breather hose. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Breather Hose.>
- Lift-up lever behind the transmission harness connector and disconnect it from stay.
- Disconnect inhibitor switch from stay.
- Remove the oil charger pipe. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Oil Charger Pipe.>
- Remove the oil cooler inlet and outlet pipes.

- Separation of torque converter clutch case and transmission case. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Torque Converter Clutch Case.>
- Remove the seal pipe if it is attached.
- Remove the differential side retainer with ST.NOTE: Hold the differential case assembly by hand to avoid damaging retainer mounting hole of the torque converter clutch case.
- ST 499787000 WRENCH ASSY
- Remove the differential assembly without damaging installation part of retainer.
