Transmission Control Device: Removal
- Remove the transmission assembly from vehicle body. <Ref. to REMOVAL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY. >
- Pull out the torque converter clutch assembly. <Ref. to REMOVAL TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH ASSEMBLY. >
- Remove the input shaft.
- Lift-up the lever on the rear side of transmission harness connector, and then disconnect it from the stay.
- Disconnect the air breather hose. <Ref. to REMOVAL AIR BREATHER HOSE. >
- Disconnect the inhibitor switch connector from the stay.
- Wrap vinyl tape around the nipple attached to the air breather hose.
- Remove the pitching stopper bracket.
- Remove the inhibitor switch.
- Remove the control valve body assembly. <Ref. to REMOVAL CONTROL VALVE BODY. >
- Pull out the manual plate spring pin.
- Remove the bolts securing the range select lever, then remove the range select lever, manual plate and parking rod.NOTE: Be careful not to damage the lips of press-fitted oil seal in the case.
- Remove the detention spring.
