Main Switch

  1. Remove the main switch. <Ref. to REMOVAL  POWER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH. >
  2. Turn the window lock switch to UNLOCK.
  3. Connect the battery and the main switch as shown in the following figure.

  4. Measure the main switch resistance.
    RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION CHART

      Switch position Terminal No. Standard
    Driver's side UP 13 and 2, 1 and 5 Less than 1 Ω
    OFF 1 and 5 2 and 5 Less than 1 Ω
    DOWN 13 and 1,2 and 5 Less than 1 Ω
    AUTO DOWN 13 and 1, 2 and 5 Less than 1 Ω
    Passenger's side UP 13 and 6, 7 and 5 Less than 1 Ω
    OFF 5 and 6 5 and 7 Less than 1 Ω
    DOWN 13 and 7, 6 and 5 Less than 1 Ω
    Rear LH UP 11 and 13, 10 and 5 Less than 1 Ω
    OFF 5 and 11 5 and 10 Less than 1 Ω
    DOWN 13 and 11, 10 and 5 Less than 1 Ω
    Rear RH UP 13 and 16, 15 and 5 Less than 1 Ω
    OFF 5 and 15 5 and 16 Less than 1 Ω
    DOWN 13 and 15,16 and 5 Less than 1 Ω
  5. Replace the main switch if faulty.
