Fuel Tank: Installation

Support the fuel tank with transmission jack and push the fuel tank harness together with grommet into access hole.
Set the fuel tank and temporarily tighten the bolts of fuel tank bands.
WARNING: A helper is required to perform this work.

Insert the fuel filler hose (A) up to 35 - 40 mm (1.38 - 1.57 in) of the fuel filler pipe bottom end, then tighten the clamp.
Insert the evaporation hose (B) to the evaporation pipe bottom end, then secure the clamp and clip.

CAUTION: Do not allow clip to touch the hose (A) and rear suspension crossmember.

Connect the fuel hoses, and secure with clips and quick connectors. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Fuel Delivery And Evaporation Lines .>

Connect the connector to the pressure control solenoid valve.
Attach the canister. <Ref. to INSTALLATION ,Canister .>
Tighten the band mounting bolts.
Tightening torque:

33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 25 ft-lb)

Install the rear crossmember. <Ref. to INSTALLATION ,Rear Crossmember .>
Connect the connector (A) to the fuel tank cord and plug the service hole with grommet (B).

Set the rear seat and floor mats.
Connect the connector to fuel pump relay.

Install the passenger's side sill cover.
Install the glove box. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Glove Box .>
