Unit Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Subaru BRZ. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Inspect the battery current sensor assembly.
    1. Resistance check (Battery current sensor assembly).
      1. Measure the resistance between the terminals.
      RESISTANCE

Inspection terminals Tester positive - Tester negative Inspection conditions Standard value
      1(VIN) - 3(GND) Always 3 - 10 kΩ
      1(VIN) - 4(VOUT) Always 0.5 kΩ or less
      3(GND) - 4(VOUT) Always 3 - 10 kΩ

    2. Resistance check (Battery thermometer sensor).
      1. Measure the resistance between the terminals.
      RESISTANCE

Inspection terminals Inspection conditions Standard value
      2(TEMP) - 3(GND) 20 - 30°C {68 - 86°F} 1.5 - 2.6 kΩ
