Operating Cylinder: Removal

CAUTION: Brake fluid spilled on the vehicle body will harm the paint surface; therefore, wash it off with water and wipe clean quickly if spilled.
  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery. Ref. to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY
    NOTE: For models other than STI Model, disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor.
  2. Remove the collector cover. (Except for STI Model) Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>Collector Cover>REMOVAL
  3. Remove the intercooler. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (STI)>Intercooler>REMOVAL Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>Intercooler>REMOVAL
  4. Remove the starter. (STI model) Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (STI)>Starter>REMOVAL
  5. Disconnect the clutch hose.
    CAUTION:
    • Cover the hose joint to prevent the brake fluid from flowing out.
    • Do Not loosen or remove the cap bolts.

  6. Remove the operating cylinder.
    • STI model

    • Except for STI model
