Engine Cooling System: Radiator: Installation

  1. Install new radiator upper bracket and radiator lower bracket to the positions shown in the figure.
    NOTE: Install if necessary.

  2. Set the radiator, and remove the ropes etc. from the condenser assembly air conditioner.
  3. Install the pipe evaporator cooling to the clip.
  4. Connect the condenser assembly air conditioner and the radiator.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  5. Install the radiator upper bracket.

    Tightening torque: 

    12 N.m (1.2 kgf-m, 8.9 ft-lb)

  6. Install the bracket grille front.
  7. Install the radiator fan and fan motor assembly, Ref. to COOLING (H4DOTC)>RADIATOR FAN AND FAN MOTOR ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the radiator outlet hose.
  9. Install the center exhaust pipe (front). Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DOTC)>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE>INSTALLATION>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE (FRONT) .
  10. Install the V-belt cover.

    Tightening torque: 

    7 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 5.2 ft-lb)

  11. Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>SAFETY .
  12. Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DOTC)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
