LH Side

  1. Install the ignition coil.
    CAUTION: Degrease the mounting bolts, rocker cover installation portion and ignition coil installation hole.

    Tightening torque: 

    8 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.9 ft-lb)

  2. Connect the connector to the ignition coil.
  3. Place the engine wiring harness and attach the engine wiring harness to the clip (D).
  4. Connect terminal (C) and connector (B) to the main fuse box.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  5. Connect connector (A) to ECM.
    CAUTION: To prevent damage to the connector (A), when connecting the connector (A), insert the connector (A) straight in until it stops, and while maintaining the position, lock the lever.
    NOTE: Check that the lever is located at the position shown in the figure (position beyond the lock portion (a)). (Hybrid model)

  6. Attach the bracket.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  7. Secure the engine wiring harness to the bracket with the claw (A), and secure the battery cable assembly with the claw (B) (except for hybrid model).

  8. Install the battery.

    Except for hybrid model: 

    Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>BATTERY>INSTALLATION .

    Hybrid model: 

    Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO (HEV))>BATTERY>INSTALLATION .
