Engine Wiring Harness: Installation

  1. Set the engine wiring harness to the engine, and connect each connector. Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>COMPONENT>ENGINE WIRING HARNESS .
    NOTE:
    • When replacing the engine wiring harness of models except for fixed capacity A/C model with a new part, remove the tape (a), disconnect the coupling harness from the engine wiring harness. and then dispose the coupling harness.

    • For installation of the coupling harness of models except for fixed capacity A/C model, refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>FUEL INJECTOR>INSTALLATION>FUEL INJECTOR LH .
    • When installing the engine wiring harness of models except for fixed capacity A/C model, connect the coupling harness to the engine wiring harness, and then fix with the tape (a).

    • If the clip is damaged, replace it with a new part.
    • Before replacing the clip, put an alignment mark (a) on both engine wiring harness and clip to remove the clip, and then align to the alignment mark (a) to attach a new clip to the engine wiring harness.

    • When connecting the intake camshaft position sensor RH connector, wiring is possible on either the front or back side of the harness of exhaust camshaft position sensor, etc.
    • Do not cross against the harness of exhaust camshaft position sensor, etc.

  2. Install the fuel insulator. Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>FUEL INSULATOR>INSTALLATION .
  3. Install the intake manifold assembly. Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the ground terminal to 12V engine restart battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
