Thermo Control Valve Assembly: Installation

When thermo control valve assembly is replaced

Install a new gasket to the thermo control valve assembly.
Connect the thermo control valve assembly to the water hose (A), water hose (B) and water hose (C), and install the bolts that hold the thermo control valve assembly.
Tightening torque:

16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)

Connect the preheater hose (D).

When thermo control valve assembly is not replaced

Connect each new hose to the thermo control valve assembly.

Connect the water hose (A), water hose (B) and water hose (C), and install the bolts that hold the thermo control valve assembly.

Tightening torque:

16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)

Install the engine wiring harness stay.
Tightening torque:

19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

Connect the connector (A) and connector (B).

Install the clip (A), clip (B) and clip (C) and install the bolt securing the engine ground and the harness case.
Tightening torque:

19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

Install the high-pressure fuel delivery pipe assembly. Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>HIGH PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE>INSTALLATION>HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE ASSEMBLY .
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Fill engine coolant. Refer to COOLING (H4DO)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
