Scavenge Pump: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the crank sprocket. Ref. to MECHANICAL (H4DOTC)>Crank Sprocket>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the oil jet.
    CAUTION: Use cloth to catch the engine oil in order to prevent it from splashing.

  4. Remove the scavenge pump.
    CAUTION: Use cloth to catch the engine oil in order to prevent it from splashing.

  5. Remove the O-rings.
