Fuel Pump: Installation

Install a new gasket to the fuel tank.

Set the protrusion on the fuel pump flange between the claw (A) and claw (B) of the lower plate.
CAUTION: Set the arm and float of the fuel level sensor while paying attention to prevent them from contacting the fuel tank. If the arm of the fuel level sensor is bent, the fuel gauge may not read correctly.

Using the ST, install the upper plate.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage the fuel delivery tube with the ST.
- Rotate until the rotation stopper rib of the upper plate completely goes beyond the expected position.
- There should be no twisting or pinch of the gasket.
Preparation tool:

ST1: ST FUEL PUMP (42099FL000)

ST2: ST CAM (42099FL010)

Connect the fuel delivery tube. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO(HEV))>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE D) .
Set the harness protector to the upper plate, slide the harness protector in the direction of the arrow, and install the harness protector.
CAUTION:
- Slide until the rotation stopper hook (c) of the harness protector is completely locked.
- The front mark (b) should face the front side of the vehicle.

Connect the connector to the fuel pump.
CAUTION: Before connecting, make sure that there are no foreign matters, water, etc. inside the connectors of fuel pump and harness. If any foreign matters, water, etc. are found, remove them with air blow and connect the connector after it has dried completely.

Install the service hole cover of fuel pump.

Install the rear seat cushion. Ref. to SEATS>REAR SEAT>INSTALLATION .
Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
