Cruise Control Command Switch: Inspection

  1. Measure the resistance between connector terminals.

    3 - 9 DISTANCE-SET/-DISTANCE+RES/+ All OFF Approx. 4, 020 Ω
    DISTANCE- ON Less than 1 Ω
    SET/- ON Approx. 250 Ω
    DISTANCE+ ON Approx. 680 Ω
    RES/+ ON Approx. 1, 470 Ω
    4 - 9 CRUISE LANE CENTERING All OFF Approx. 4, 020 Ω
    CRUISE ON Less than 1 Ω
    LANE CENTERING ON Approx. 680 Ω
    8 - 7 I S# All OFF 3 MΩ or more
    I ON Less than 1 Ω
    S# ON Approx. 1, 800 Ω
  2. Apply battery voltage between the connector terminals to check lighting condition of illumination inside the switch.
    CAUTION: When applying battery voltage, do not mix up the positive (+) side and the negative (-) side.
    CAUTION: Incorrect polarity connection may cause LED damage inside the switch.

  3. Replace the EyeSight steering switch if it is found defective.
