Headlight Assembly: Installation
CAUTION:
- Before installing the headlight assembly, check the condition of seal rubber and cap. If any damage is found, replace the seal rubber and cap with new parts. Ref. to LIGHTING SYSTEM>HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY>REPLACEMENT .
- Before installing the bumper face, match the claws on the bumper bracket with the engaging position of flange section on the bumper face side. If the engaging position is not correct, the flange section may be broken or the clearance between fender panel and bumper face may not be uniform.
NOTE:
- Make sure that the turn signal light harness does not interfere with other parts after installing the headlight assembly.
- Install the under cover so that the under cover front end (b) comes inside of the bumper face (a).
- Install the mud guard so that the front end of the mud guard (b), except for the clip fixing point, comes inside the bumper face (a).
- Install the light assembly head.
Tightening torque:
7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
- Install the bracket corner front.
Tightening torque:
7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
- Install the access buzzer. (When the light assembly head on the left side is removed)
- Install the cover fender UPR.
- Install the energy absorber plate UPR.
Tightening torque:
7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
- Install the bumper face front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT BUMPER>INSTALLATION .
- Install the cover UPR front.
- Install the air intake duct.
- H4DO model: Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE DUCT>INSTALLATION .
- H4DOTC model: Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>AIR INTAKE DUCT>INSTALLATION .
- Check and adjust the clearance between the hood COMPL front and the light assembly head. Ref. to EXTERIOR BODY PANELS>FRONT HOOD>ADJUSTMENT .
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Adjust the headlight beam and fog light beam.
- Adjust the headlight beam. Ref. to LIGHTING SYSTEM>HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY>ADJUSTMENT>HEADLIGHT BEAM ADJUSTMENT .
- Adjust the fog light beam. (Model with fog light) Ref. to LIGHTING SYSTEM>FRONT FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY>ADJUSTMENT>FOG LIGHT AIMING .
