External Connection Terminal: Removal: Front

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE: Release the shift lock and shift the select lever to the "N" position. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT LEVER>REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the cover LWR driver. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the visor assembly. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the driver monitoring unit assembly. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>DRIVER MONITORING UNIT>REMOVAL .
    NOTE: For the model without driver monitoring system, remove the cover center UPR in the same procedure as for the driver monitoring unit assembly.
  5. Remove the grip and boot. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT LEVER>REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the cover assembly front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the ornament panel mid passenger and the center information display assembly. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT AND MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY>REMOVAL>DISPLAY ASSEMBLY .
  8. Remove the pocket COMPL and the panel instrument passenger. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>GLOVE BOX>REMOVAL .
  9. Remove the AUX unit assembly.
    1. Disconnect the AUX cord.
    2. While pressing the claw, press it in from the rear to remove the AUX unit assembly.
