Engine Starting System & Charging System (2.5L): Starter: Installation

CAUTION:

When replacing the starter, be sure to perform [Start count clearing] after the service. Ref. to AUTO START STOP (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT .
When replacing the starter, be sure to replace the fuel pump relay at the same time. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL PUMP RELAY .

Install the starter and cable stay.
Tightening torque:

50 N.m (5.1 kgf-m, 36.9 ft-lb)

Connect the ground terminal (C).
Tightening torque:

14 N.m (1.4 kgf-m, 10.3 ft-lb)
Connect the terminal B (B) and connector (A).
Tightening torque:

11 N.m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.1 ft-lb)

Install the front wheel LH. Ref. to WHEEL AND TIRE SYSTEM>TIRE AND WHEEL>INSTALLATION .
Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
