Tie-Rod End: Removal

  1. Remove the front wheels. Ref. to WHEEL AND TIRE SYSTEM>TIRE AND WHEEL>REMOVAL .
  2. Disconnect the tie-rod end.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the boot of the ball joint.
    1. Remove the cotter pin (a).
    2. Remove the castle nut (b).
    3. Using a ball joint puller (d), remove the tie-rod end (c).

  3. Loosen the lock nut, and remove the tie-rod end.
