Sunroof Assembly: Installation

CAUTION:

Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to  AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION 

  1. Install the tube drains.
  2. Install the mat trunk and the trunk trim panel side. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>TRUNK ROOM TRIM>INSTALLATION
  3. Install the bracket sunroof and the rail assembly.

    Tightening torque: 

    6 N.m (0.6 kgf-m, 4.4 ft-lb)

  4. Connect the connector of the tube drain and the motor assembly.
    CAUTION:
    • Insert the drain tubes on the front side until they contact all the way to the end (a) of drain pipes.

    • For the drain tubes on the rear side, securely insert the resin connector until a clicking sound is heard. 
  5. Install the bolt which secures the curtain airbag module.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  6. Install the trim panel roof assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>ROOF TRIM>INSTALLATION
  7. Install the lid assembly. Ref. to SUNROOF/T-TOP/CONVERTIBLE TOP (SUNROOF)>GLASS LID>INSTALLATION 
  8. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
