Inhibitor Switch: Installation

  1. Temporarily connect the inhibitor switch, and connect the connector.
  2. Install the shifter arm and fix with a new spring pin.
  3. Connect the select cable.
    CAUTION:

    Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

    NOTE:

    Set the washer before installing the snap pin. 

    Tightening torque: 

    25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

  4. Adjust the inhibitor switch. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>INHIBITOR SWITCH>ADJUSTMENT .
  5. Shift the select lever to "P range". Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT LEVER>INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
