Air Intake Boot: Installation

  1. Install the turbo duct bracket, and install the cushion to the turbo duct bracket.
    NOTE:
    • Align protrusion of the turbo duct bracket to the rotation stopper hole. 
    • Align the protrusion of the cushion with the cutout portion on the turbo duct bracket. 

    Tightening torque: 

    Nut: 7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

    Bolt: 18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)

  2. Connect the turbo duct and the air intake boot.
    NOTE:

    Align the protrusion on the turbo duct to the cutout portion of the air intake boot. 

    Tightening torque: 

    2.5 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 1.8 ft-lb)

  3. Install the turbo duct and the air intake boot as a single unit.
    NOTE:

    Align the cutout portion on the turbo duct to the protrusion of cushion. 

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  4. Install the mud guard front RH. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>MUD GUARD>INSTALLATION
  5. Connect the air intake boot to the intake duct No. 1.
    NOTE:

    Align the cutout portion of the air intake boot to the protrusion on the intake duct No. 1. 

    Tightening torque: 

    2.5 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 1.8 ft-lb)

  6. Install the under cover front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>INSTALLATION
  7. Connect the turbo duct to the air cleaner case (rear).
    NOTE:

    Align the cutout portion on the turbo duct to the protrusion of the air cleaner case (rear). 

    Tightening torque: 

    2.5 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 1.8 ft-lb)
