Steering Wheel: Disassembly

  1. Remove the screw and release the claws, then detach the cover spoke.

  2. Remove the cover steering wheel LWR.
    CAUTION: Carefully remove the cover steering wheel LWR. Do not pull with excessive force. Otherwise, heat wire between cover steering wheel LWR and steering wheel may be damaged. (Model with steering heater)
    1. Remove the screws on the back of the steering wheel.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Release the screws, claws and harness clips, and detach the cover steering wheel LWR.
      NOTE: Remove the heater elements RH and LH secured with double-sided tape from the cover steering wheel LWR. (Model with steering heater)

  3. Release the claws, and then remove the steering heater switch. (Model with steering heater)

  4. Remove the connector clip, and then remove the adapter cord. (Model with steering heater)

  5. Remove the paddle shift switch assembly.

  6. Remove the screws, and then remove the steering heater control module. (Model with steering heater)

  7. Remove the screws and release the claws, then remove the satellite switch.
