Fuel Pump Side

CAUTION: For the A-type fuel pump assembly, be careful of the followings:

To prevent damage to the fuel level sensor harness, make sure that the fuel level sensor harness is routed outside the reference line before installing the fuel pump assembly.

If the fuel level sensor harness is not routed outside the reference line, allow the fuel level sensor harness to retain its shape so that it is outside the line, and check that the fuel level sensor harness is at a position of 7 mm (0.28 in) or more from the datum point using a scale, etc.

(e)	Allow the fuel level sensor harness to retain its shape outside the reference line.
(f)	Check that the fuel level sensor harness is at a position of 7 mm (0.28 in) or more from the datum point.

When lowering the top of fuel filter, check that the fuel level sensor harness bends sideways as shown in the figure.

NOTE: For the type of fuel pump assembly, refer to "SPECIFICATION" of the fuel pump assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY>SPECIFICATION .

Install the fuel level sensor to the fuel pump assembly.

Install the fuel level sensor and confirm that the claw (A) is locked securely.

Install the fuel level sensor harness and connector cable to the clip, and connect the fuel level sensor connector (B) and fuel pump connector (A).

A-type

CAUTION: Be sure to install the fuel level sensor harness to the clip first, then install the connector cable. Otherwise, malfunction may occur.
