Fuel Tank: Assembly

  1. Install the cushion assembly (A) and cushion assembly (B) to the fuel tank. (When replacing with a new part)
    NOTE: After installing the cushion assembly, confirm that the claw section on the cushion assembly is securely inserted into the fuel tank.
  2. Attach the cushion (C) to the fuel tank. (When replacing with a new part)
    NOTE:
    • When replacing the fuel tank with a new one, attach a new cushion before using.
    • Before attaching the cushion, degrease the attaching surface of fuel tank.
  3. Install the fuel pump. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (HEV))>FUEL PUMP>INSTALLATION .
  4. Install the tube clamp (D) to the fuel tank. (When replacing with a new part)

  5. Install the insulator and protector to the fuel tank.
    1. Install the insulator holder (A) to the lower insulator (C) and set it on the fuel tank.
    2. Install the upper insulator (B) to the insulator holder (A).
      CAUTION: Be sure to fix the insulator holder and the insulator without looseness as shown in the figure.

    3. Set the protector (B) on the fuel tank and install the clip (A).
      CAUTION: Be sure to insert the clip all the way to the end.

  6. Connect individual hoses to the fuel tank. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (HEV))>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>COMPONENT>FUEL TANK 1 .
