Outer Mirror Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Operate the remote control mirror switch to face the mirror repair inside.
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  3. Remove the mirror repair.
    1. Insert a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool wrapped with protection tape into the tool insertion opening shown in the figure, release the engagement and take the mirror repair outward to remove.
      CAUTION: When removing the mirror repair, be careful not to damage the back surface of mirror repair with a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool.

    2. Disconnect the connector. (Model with mirror heater)

  4. Release the claws, and then remove the cover cap outer mirror.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to apply excessive force when removing the outer mirror cover, as the lower hooks may become damaged.

  5. Remove the screws and release the claws, and then remove the cover cap outer mirror LWR.

  6. Remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator. (Model with Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system)
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Release the claws and then remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator.

  7. Remove the light assembly side turn mirror. (Model with side turn signal light)
    1. Remove the screws and release the claws, and then pull out the light assembly side turn mirror to the front of the vehicle.
    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the light assembly side turn mirror.
