Drive Pinion: Inspection
NOTE:
- For inspection of backlash and tooth contact of hypoid gear set, refer to "Installation". Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION(TR580)>DRIVE PINION>INSTALLATION .
- For backlash between the differential bevel gear and differential bevel pinion, refer to "Front differential". Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION(TR580)>FRONT DIFFERENTIAL>ASSEMBLY .
- Check each part for excessive wear.
- Check that there is no deformation, cracks or other damages.
- Check the bearing for smooth rotation.
- Check the drive pinion initial load. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION(TR580)>DRIVE PINION>INSTALLATION .
