Engine Starting System & Charging System: Starter: Installation

Install the starter together with the cable stay (A).

Tightening torque:

50 N.m (5.1 kgf-m, 36.9 ft-lb)

Connect the connector (A) and terminal B (B).
Tightening torque:

11 N.m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.1 ft-lb)
Connect the ground terminal (C).
Tightening torque:

14 N.m (1.4 kgf-m, 10.3 ft-lb)

Install the nut or bolt on the lower side of the starter.

Tightening torque:

50 N.m (5.1 kgf-m, 36.9 ft-lb)

Install the CVTF cooler pipe. (Model with CVTF cooler (air cool))
Tightening torque:

16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)

Install the center exhaust pipe (rear). Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DOTC)>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE>INSTALLATION>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE (REAR) .
Install the intercooler. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>INTERCOOLER>INSTALLATION .
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
