Engine Oil: Replacement
CAUTION:
- Vehicle components are extremely hot immediately after driving. Be wary of receiving burns from heated parts.
- If engine oil spills over the following parts or similar parts, completely wipe it off to avoid emission of smoke and causing a fire.
- Engine
- Exhaust pipe
- Under cover
Preparation items :
Engine oil: Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION>ENGINE OIL>TYPE .
NOTE:
Refer to "SPECIFICATION" for engine oil capacity. Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION>ENGINE OIL>CAPACITY .
- Remove the oil filler cap.
- Drain engine oil by loosening the drain plug.
- Install the drain plug using a new gasket.CAUTION: An old gasket may be adhered to the drain plug, so be sure to check the plug
Tightening torque:
41.7 N.m (4.3 kgf-m, 30.8 ft-lb)
- Add engine oil up to the "F" line on oil level gauge.
- Install the oil filler cap.
- Check the engine oil level. Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO)>ENGINE OIL>INSPECTION .
