Engine Oil: Replacement

CAUTION:

Vehicle components are extremely hot immediately after driving. Be wary of receiving burns from heated parts.
If engine oil spills over the following parts or similar parts, completely wipe it off to avoid emission of smoke and causing a fire.
- Engine
- Exhaust pipe
- Under cover

Preparation items :

Engine oil: Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION>ENGINE OIL>TYPE .

NOTE:

Refer to "SPECIFICATION" for engine oil capacity. Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION>ENGINE OIL>CAPACITY .

Remove the oil filler cap.
Drain engine oil by loosening the drain plug.

Install the drain plug using a new gasket.
CAUTION: An old gasket may be adhered to the drain plug, so be sure to check the plug

Tightening torque:

41.7 N.m (4.3 kgf-m, 30.8 ft-lb)
Add engine oil up to the "F" line on oil level gauge.
Install the oil filler cap.
Check the engine oil level. Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO)>ENGINE OIL>INSPECTION .
