Idle-Up Solenoid

Turn ignition off. Disconnect idle-up solenoid connector. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between solenoid Black/White harness terminal and ground. Battery voltage should be present. Voltage is supplied by the 15-amp ignition fuse. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance across solenoid terminals. Continuity should exist; however, zero resistance is an indication of a shorted solenoid.
