Throttle Position Sensor

To inspect throttle position sensor and throttle switch, disconnect negative battery cable and TPS connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity with selected thickness gauges between throttle stop screw and stop lever as indicated. See the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE table. See Fig 1 . If adjustment is required, see ADJUSTMENTS article in this section.
