Throttle Cable
- Ensure throttle cable has 0.4-0.6" (10-15 mm) free play. Hold exposed portion of cable at center and move cable up and down to measure play. Use lock nut and adjusting nut on cable bracket to adjust free play. See Fig 1 .
- If throttle opener rod is pushed back by hand (i.e., throttle valve is at idle position), cable free play should be 0.12-0.20" (3.0-5.0 mm). Use lock nut and adjusting nut on cable bracket to adjust free play.
