Brake Warning Indicator: Notes

BRAKE warning light will illuminate when ignition switch is turned to START or ON position, when parking brake is engaged and ignition is on, or when fluid level in brake master cylinder reservoir is below minimum level and ignition is on.

Brake proportioning and differential pressure switch will turn BRAKE warning light on if brakeline pressures are different between front and rear. Light will go out when engine is started. If light does not go out, check brake fluid level and fluid level switch, parking brake switch, proportioning and differential pressure switch.
