Vehicle Speed Sensor

  1. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between terminals No. 4 and 10 while rotating speedometer cable shaft clockwise with a screwdriver. SeeFig 1 .
  2. Ohmmeter reading should fluctuate between continuity and no continuity 4 times per revolution of speedometer cable shaft. If continuity is not as specified, replace vehicle speed sensor.
