Clutch is a diaphragm spring, single-disc type. On 1.8L Sidekick, clutch is hydraulically operated by a clutch master cylinder and transaxle housing-mounted slave cylinder. On all except 1.8L Sidekick, clutch operation is mechanically controlled by clutch cable. On all models, system incorporates release lever, release shaft and release bearing. A Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch disables ignition and starter circuits unless clutch pedal is fully depressed.
