Oil Pressure Light

  1. Disconnect oil pressure sending unit harness connector. Using a jumper wire, ground Yellow/Black wire at harness connector. Turn ignition switch to run position and check oil pressure light. If oil pressure light illuminates, go to next step. If oil light does not illuminate, check fuses, wiring harness, bulb and instrument panel circuit board.
  2. Remove jumper wire and recheck oil light. If light goes out, check oil pressure sending unit. See OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT TEST  . If light is still illuminated, repair short to ground in Yellow/Black wire.
