Toe-In Adjustment

  1. Measure toe-in and compare to WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . If toe-in is not within specification, go to next step.
  2. Loosen right and left tie rod end lock nuts. Rotate right and left tie rods by the same amount to align toe-in to specification. See Fig 1. In this adjustment, right and left tie rods should become equal in length.
    NOTE: Before rotating tie rods, apply grease between tie rods and rack boots so that boots won't be twisted.
  3. After adjustment, tighten lock nuts to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
