FUNCTION CHART OF 4WD CONTROL SYSTEM COMPONENT

Part Name	Function
Transfer fork switch	Detects transfer shift position combining 4WD switch and 4WD low switch.
4WD switch	Detects transfer shift position combining transfer shift switch and 4WD low switch.
4WD low switch	Detects transfer shift position combining transfer shift switch and 4WD switch.
2WD/4WD switch	Shifts transfer shift position. Consists of "2WD" <--> "4WD" switch, "N" switch and "4L" switch.
"2WD" <--> "4WD" switch	Shifts transfer from 2H to 4H or from 4H to 2H.
"N" switch	Shifts transfer to N position and cancels transfer from N position.
N indicator	Indicates transfer is at N position or not.
"4L" switch	Shifts transfer to 4L position and cancels transfer from 4L position.
4L indicator	Indicates transfer is at 4L position or not.
2WD/4WD indicator	Indicates transfer is at 2H, N or 4H/4L.
Transmission range switch (N position) (for A/T model)	Detects A/T is at N range or not.
Clutch switch	Detects clutch pedal is depressed or not.
Buzzer incorporated into BCM	Indicates transfer is at "N" position Warns of prohibited shift operation.
4WD control module	Controls transfer and front differential. Diagnoses 4WD control system components.
Transfer shift actuator	Consists of transfer shift actuator motor and transfer shift actuator motor position sensor.
Transfer shift control actuator motor	Shifts transfer shift position operating front drive shift shaft and reduction drive shift shaft via cams.
Transfer shift control actuator motor	position sensor Detects transfer shift actuator motor position.
Front axle lock actuator motor	Operates axle lock clutch to engage/disengage.
Diagnosis connector	Indicates DTC on indicators grounding its diagnosis terminal.
