ECT Sensor Removal and Installation: Installation

Reverse removal procedure, noting the following points:

• Check O-ring for damage and replace if necessary.
• Tighten ECT sensor to specified torque.

  Tightening torque 

  ECT sensor (a): 13 N.m (1.3 kg-m, 9.5 lbf-ft)

• Connect connector to ECT sensor.
• Fill radiator with coolant, see COOLING SYSTEM REFILLING .
• Check for cooling system for leakage, see ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM INSPECTION .
