Car Computer, LHD - Remove And Install: Install

  1. Place the car computer into the vehicle, and then connect the connectors (x5) at the right side of the car computer.

  2. Install the nut that attaches the car computer to the body.

    20 N.m (14.7 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 10 in extension
    • 6 in extension
    • 13 mm socket

  3. Install a new bolt that attaches the ground strap to the car computer.

    3.5 N.m (2.6 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 8 mm 12pt combination wrench
    • Torx T25 socket

  4. Install the harness clips (x5) from the lower, the top, and the left of the car computer.

  5. Connect the connectors (x9) on the left side and the front side of the car computer.

  6. Connect the connector on the front passenger air bag.

  7. Install the RH air wave duct. See INTERIOR DUCTING AND VENTS - IP, AIR, WAVE, DUCT, RH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  8. Install the RH footwell duct. See INTERIOR DUCTING AND VENTS - IP, PASSENGER FOOTWELL DUCT - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  9. Install the glove box. See DASH PANEL - GLOVE BOX WITH USB ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
    NOTE: No need to install the glove box USB cable.
  10. Install the RH instrument panel end cap. See DASH PANEL - END CAP, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  11. If equipped, install the passenger knee airbag. See FRONT AIR BAGS - KNEE AIR BAG, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  12. Install the passenger footwell cover. See DASH PANEL - PASSENGER FOOTWELL COVER ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  13. Install the bolts (x3) and new nuts (x3) that attach the car computer to the body.

    20 N.m (14.7 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 10 in extension
    • 6 in extension
    • 13 mm socket

  14. Remove the plugs from the car computer and coolant hoses.
  15. Install the clips (x2) on the coolant hoses connected to the car computer mount to connect the coolant hoses to the car computer.

  16. Remove the absorbent material from below the car computer coolant hose connection points and car computer.
  17. Connect the LV battery power. See LV BATTERY - LI-LON - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
  18. Remove the coolant bottle cap, and then fill the coolant bottle to the proper level.
  19. On the touchscreen, touch Service Mode > Thermal > Coolant Purge  to start the Coolant Purge Routine  and allow the routine to complete.
  20. Exit the Service Mode.
  21. Inspect the coolant level and top off as necessary, and then install the coolant bottle cap.
  22. Install the fresh air intake duct. See CABIN HVAC - HVAC, FRESH AIR INTAKE - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  23. Install the underhood storage unit. See EXTERIOR FITTINGS - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM - FRONT LUGGAGE STORAGE COMPARTMENT - FRUNK ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  24. Install the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
