Throttle Position Sensor

  1. Loosen 2 Throttle Position (TP) sensor retaining screws. Insert a thickness gauge between throttle stop screw and throttle. With ignition off and electrical connector disconnected, connect ohmmeter between terminals "IDL" and "E1" or "E2". See Figure.

  2. Gradually turn TP sensor counterclockwise until ohmmeter needle deflects. Secure TP sensor retaining screws. Using a thickness gauge, recheck continuity between terminals "IDL" and "E1" or "E2".
