Knock Sensor
- Knock sensors are located on the cylinder block. See Fig 1. Remove knock sensor from cylinder block before testing. See N - REMOVE/INSTALL/OHAUL article.NOTE: No. 1 knock sensor is located on front of cylinder block and No. 2 knock sensor is located on rear of cylinder block.
- Using ohmmeter, check that no continuity exists between electrical terminal of knock sensor and body of knock sensor. Replace knock sensor if continuity exists.
