Pick-Up Coil Resistance

Note pick-up coil terminal identification on the distributor. See Fig 1 and Fig 2. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between specified terminals. See PICK-UP COIL RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Replace distributor assembly if pick-up coil resistance is not within specification.

Turbo G1 & G- 125-200
Turbo G2 & G- 125-200
Turbo NE & G- 155-250
Non-Turbo G+ & G- 185-275
Non-Turbo NE+ & NE- 370-550
(1) Specification is with pick-up coil temperature of 14-122°F (-10-50°C).
