2000 Camry

  1. To start registration of recognition code, ensure ignition key is NOT inserted in ignition lock cylinder, driver's door is open, with all other doors closed. Driver's door must be unlocked. Insert ignition key into ignition lock cylinder and then pull out. Within 40 seconds, press door lock control switch in vehicle 5 times from LOCK/UNLOCK position at approximately one second intervals. Close driver's door and then open it.
  2. Within 40 seconds, press door lock control switch in vehicle 5 times from LOCK/UNLOCK position at approximately 1 second intervals. Insert ignition key into ignition lock cylinder and turn ignition key from ON to LOCK position at approximately one second intervals 2 times to select mode rewrite mode and 3 times for confirmation mode. Remove key from ignition lock cylinder. If confirmation mode is selected, go to next step. If rewrite mode is selected, go to step  4.
  3. Integration relay automatically performs the lock and unlock function 1 to 4 times at 2 second intervals to indicate the number of transmitter codes registered. If lock/unlock operation is performed 5 times, this indicates that no transmitters have been programmed at this time. Registration of recognition codes is completed if 4 registration codes are registered at one time, if ignition key is inserted in ignition lock cylinder, driver's door is closed or 20 seconds has elapsed since integration relay response.
  4. Integration relay will automatically perform lock and unlock operation twice at one second intervals to indicate, rewrite function has been selected. Within 20 seconds depress both lock and unlock switches simultaneously on remote transmitter for more than one second. Within 3 seconds, depress either lock or unlock switch on remote transmitter for more than one second. Integration relay automatically performs lock and unlock operation one time indicating registration of recognition code is completed or 2 times within one second, indicating registration of recognition code was not successful. This could be caused by recognition code received the first time not matching code received the second time. Registration of recognition codes is completed if 4 registration codes are registered at one time, ignition key is inserted in ignition lock cylinder, driver's door is closed, or 20 seconds has elapsed since integration relay response.
