Power Mirror Switch

NOTE: Mirror motor connectors may vary in configuration from vehicle to vehicle of the same model.

Remove power mirror switch. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between appropriate mirror switch terminals. Continuity should exist between specified terminals. See appropriate POWER MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST table. See Fig 1-Fig 27 . If switch fails any test, replace switch.

POWER MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST (AVALON WITHOUT MEMORY)

Up 3 & 4; 7 & 8
Down 3 & 8; 4 & 7
Left 4 & 9; 7 & 8
Right 4 & 7; 8 & 9
Switch In Right Position
Up 2 & 4; 7 & 8

Right 4 & 7; 8 & 10
(1) Continuity should exist between specified terminals. See Fig 1-Fig 3 .
POWER MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST (AVALON WITH MEMORY)

Illumination 5 & 6 Continuity
(1) Check resistance between appropriate terminals. See Fig 1 and Fig 4 .
MIRROR SWITCH RESISTANCE (AVALON WITH MEMORY)

RIGHT 250
DOWN 470
LEFT 800
(1) Measure resistance between terminals No. 7 and 9 at mirror switch. See Fig 1 and Fig 4 .
MIRROR SWITCH CIRCUITS (AVALON)

8 At All Times Continuity
4 Ignition Switch At Lock Position No Voltage
4 Ignition Switch In ACC or RUN Position Battery Voltage
