Actuator Check
NOTE:
Actuator check is performed using manufacturer's actuator checker (09990-00150) and harness adapters. If actuator does not operate as described, check wiring harnesses, solenoid relay and motor relay (DTCs 11, 12, 13 and 14). If solenoid and/or motor relay are abnormal, replace appropriate relay and repeat actuator check.
- Ensure battery voltage is 10-14 volts and charging system is working properly. Turn ignition off. Disconnect 2 actuator electrical connectors. Connect Actuator Checker (09990-00150), following manufacturer's instructions. Connect Red cable of checker to battery positive terminal and Black cable to negative battery terminal.
- Start and idle engine. Set selector switch to "F" position. See Fig 1. See Actuator Checker Circuits/Functions . Press and hold "A" switch for a few seconds. You should hear the motor running. Press and hold brake pedal. Press and hold "G" switch for a few seconds (DO NOT hold switch for longer than 10 seconds). Pedal should not go down. As brake pedal is held, release "G" switch. Brake pedal should go down. Press "A" switch and ensure that brake pedal comes up. Release brake pedal. Go to next step.Actuator Checker Circuits/Functions

Depress and hold brake pedal for about 15 seconds. While holding brake pedal, push "A"switch for several seconds and ensure that brake pedal does not pulsate. Release brake pedal.
- Repeat steps 2- 3 by setting selector switch to positions "D", "E" and "F". When checking RF position, push "B" switch instead of "A" switch. After checking remaining wheels, press and hold "A" switch for a few seconds. Stop engine. Remove test harnesses and actuator checker. Reconnect actuator wiring to actuator. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING DTCS under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
