Door Lock Motor

  1. Remove door panel for access to appropriate door lock assembly which contains the door lock motor. See Figure. On driver's side front door or passenger's side front door, disconnect the 6-pin electrical connector at door lock assembly. On driver's side rear door or passenger's side rear door, disconnect the 4-pin electrical connector at door lock assembly.
  2. On all applications, using jumper wires, apply battery voltage and ground to specified terminals on door lock assembly and check that door lock motor moves the door lock link to the UNLOCK position. Perform STEP 1 in illustration. See Fig 1.
  3. Reverse jumper wires so polarity is reversed and check that the door lock motor moves the door lock link to the LOCK position. Perform STEP 2 in illustration. See Fig 1. Replace door lock assembly if operation is not as specified.
