Remote Transmitter

Ensure driver's door is open and unlocked. Also ensure key is removed from ignition switch. Insert and remove key from ignition switch twice within 5 seconds. Go to next step.
Close and open driver's door twice within 40 seconds. Insert key into ignition switch and then remove it. Close and open driver's door twice within 40 seconds. Insert key in ignition switch. Close driver's door. Go to next step.
Turn ignition switch from ON to LOCK positions, at about one-second intervals, one to 5 times to select mode. To put system in add mode, turn ignition switch for one second from ON to LOCK position one time. To put system in rewrite mode, turn ignition switch from ON to LOCK position 2 times at about one-second intervals. To put system in confirmation mode, turn ignition switch from ON to LOCK position 3 times at about one-second intervals. To put system in prohibition mode, turn ignition switch from ON to LOCK position 5 times at about one-second intervals. See Fig 1. Remove key from ignition switch. Go to next step.
To confirm mode selection, power door lock control module will perform LOCK/UNLOCK cycle the number of times conforming to ignition key cycles performed in step 3. See Fig 1. If confirmation or prohibition modes have been selected, open door to complete procedure. If add or rewrite modes have been selected, perform next step within 40 seconds of door lock cycle verification of mode selection.
Press both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on remote transmitter for 1-1.5 seconds and release. Within 3 seconds of releasing buttons, press LOCK button for greater than one second and then release. Go to next step.
If the remote transmitter has been successfully programmed, power door lock system will perform LOCK/UNLOCK cycle one time. Go to next step. If there are problems with the remote transmitter or the procedure up to this point, power door lock system will perform LOCK/UNLOCK cycle twice. If this occurs, verify correct remote transmitter is being used and return to step 5.
If multiple remote transmitters are being programmed, remain in add or rewrite mode and return to step . 5. When remote transmitters are programmed, open driver's door. Wireless entry system will return to normal operating condition.
