Rear Wheel Alignment: Inspection
- MEASURE VEHICLE HEIGHT (See INSPECTION )
- INSTALL CAMBER-CASTER-KINGPIN GAUGE OR POSITION VEHICLE ON WHEEL ALIGNMENT TESTER
Follow the specific instructions of the equipment manufacturer.
- INSPECT CAMBER
Camber:
If the camber is not within the specified value, inspect the suspension parts for damage and/or wear and replace them if necessary because camber is not adjustable.
- INSPECT TOE-IN
Toe-in:
If the toe-in is not within the specified value, adjust it at the adjusting cam.
- Loosen the lower arm adjusting cam set nut.
- Adjust the toe-in by turning the adjusting cam.
Right-left error: 0.3 mm (0.012 in.) or less
HINT:
- Try to adjust the toe-in to the center of the specified value.
- Control value toe changes about 1.7 mm per 1 scale.
- Torque the lower arm adjusting cam set nut.
Torque: 87 N.m (887 kgf.cm, 64 ft.lbf)
