Heated Oxygen Sensor: Inspection
- INSPECT HEATER RESISTANCE OF HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (BANK 1 SENSOR 1)
- Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals +B and HT.

Resistance:
- 1ZZ-FE: 5-10 Ω at 20°C (68°F)
- 2ZZ-GE: 11-16 Ω at 20°C (68°F)
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
- Torque: 44 N.m (450 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
- Reconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
- INSPECT HEATER RESISTANCE OF HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (BANK 1, SENSOR 2)
- Remove the passenger's seat.
- Take out the floor carpet.
- Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals +B and HT.

- Resistance: 11-16 Ω at 20°C (68°F)
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
- Torque: 44 N.m (450 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
- Reconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
- Resistance the floor carpet.
- Reinstall the passenger's seat.
