Abs Speed Sensor Front LH: Replacement

HINT:

• Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
• The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSY LH 
3. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH 
   1. Disconnect the speed sensor connector.

   2. Remove the 2 bolts and the clamp from the body and the shock absorber assy.

   3. Remove the bolt and the speed sensor front.
   NOTE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.

4. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH 
   1. Install the speed sensor front with the bolt.

      Torque: 8.0 NVm (82 kgfVcm, 71 in.Vlbf) 

      NOTE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.

   2. Install the speed sensor front with the 2 bolts and the clamp.

      Torque: 

      Bolt A: 5.0 NVm (51 kgfVcm, 44 in.Vlbf) 

      Bolt B: 19 NVm (192 kgfVcm, 14 ftVlbf) 

      NOTE: Do not twist the sensor wire when installing the sensor.

   3. Connect the speed sensor connector.

5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSY LH 
6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

   Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf) 

7. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (See  PRE-CHECK  )
