Back Door: Disassembly

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart, (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS )

1. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD 

   Using a screwdriver, remove the back door trim board.

   HINT:

   Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE SERVICE HOLE COVER 
3. REMOVE BACK SPARE TIRE BRACKET 

   Remove the 4 bolts and back spare tire bracket.

4. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM 
5. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR 
   1. Remove the grommet.
   2. Disconnect the connector, then unfasten the 3 bolts.
   3. Remove the rear wiper motor.
6. REMOVE DOOR LOCK 
   1. Remove the 3 screws and bolt.
   2. Disconnect the connector.
   3. Disconnect the 2 links then remove the door lock.

7. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE 
   1. Remove the 3 plug hole covers.
   2. Remove the 3 bolts and back door outside handle.

8. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH 
   1. Remove the 3 clips.
   2. Insert a screwdriver between the door outside garnish and back door to remove the door outside garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

   3. Disconnect the license plate light connector.
9. REMOVE STOP LIGHT COVER 

   Using a screwdriver, remove the stop light cover.

   HINT:

   Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

10. REMOVE UPPER SIDE GARNISHES 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the upper side garnishes.

    HINT:

    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

11. REMOVE STOP LIGHT 
    1. Remove the connector.
    2. Remove the 2 screws and stop light.
12. REMOVE REAR SPOILER 

    Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and rear spoiler.
